Too Many Working From Home Opportunities

Working from home is, to many people, a fantasy that they wouldn’t dare live out. Either the concept itself is questionable to them, or they don’t know where to start. Here are a few ideas to sort through all the working from home opportunities.

The first thing to do is to ignore the spam messages you get about how you can make millions of dollars working from home. You could, if you want to, Google the company’s name to see if they’re reputable. The problem is that if you didn’t sign up to it, there’s a good chance that your spam is a scam.

Before you even begin considering what you’ll actually be doing, consider what your skills are. This can help you find the most appropriate jobs and avoid the drudgery that a job below your skill level would offer.

If you’re an expert with English, you might want to be a content writer or a content editor. This work requires some research abilities as well. It’s engaging and challenging enough to keep your interest if this is your strong suit.

If you’re good at researching, but aren’t quite there with English skills, you could consider working for one of the services that answers questions by a text or chat service. This is a hot new market, so make sure to sell yourself when you apply.

If neither research nor proper writing skills are your forte, there are still several options. If you are a conversationalist, you could be a virtual assistant. Someone comes to a website and has questions about a product, you can be there to answer them. There are also many entertainment related opportunities for you. You don’t have to pretend to be a “local single,” either. You could generate jokes, supply trivia, tarot readings, astrology reports or any number of other things that people entertain themselves with.

Barring all these skills or inclinations, there’s still ready employment online. Data entry positions have existed probably longer than all the rest of the options. As long as you can type, you can do this kind of work.

On the other hand, if your ambition is greater than all that, you could always start your own business!

  1. Ashlee’s Work From Home Happiness blog is anything and everything you wanted to know about work from home opportunities. I had no idea how many different work from home jobs there are!
What resonated with me is that Ashlee is also a freelance writer. She gave up her job to pursue freelance writing and never looked back. She now makes a full-time living writing – just like me – and some of her best Pintastic posts are about freelance writing.
Ashlee is also soo helpful! I’ve been emailing her about Tailwind and Pinterest and email marketing and you can tell she takes the time to help others whenever she emails you.
She also has a job board, so if you are interested in picking a side job or extra cash, go there to see what’s available.
Ashlee has a fantastic beginner’s guide to getting started working from home so be sure to check that out.
